Students and Employees Enjoyed Delicious Coffee & Donuts with LC Police Department

Courtesy Sandy Lugo,(Laredo, Texas)-Laredo College Police Department organized a sweet morning to interact with employees,
students and guests to answer all their questions regarding law enforcement and the duties that
they perform at our institution.
Attendees at both campuses asked officers about campus carry, campus safety, the new campus
shield application or had a good conversation over a cup of coffee.
LCPD continuously maintains order and is committed to safeguarding employees and students
all year round. They engage daily with students, faculty, staff and community members to help
promote safety at our institution.
“When our officers respond to service calls, they arrive directly to solve an issue,” Patrol
Sergeant Juan Garcia said. “Often, the people we interact with only answer questions that we ask
and are afraid to have a normal conversation with our officers, which helps us provide a better
service.”
Therefore, this relaxed setting served students, employees and guests to meet those who keep
both campuses safe 24/7.
Our more than 18 experienced officers have the capabilities, professional training and
responsibilities as other law enforcement agencies.
They have persevered through difficult times,
honored those who have fallen and protected the lives of many.
