Back on July 13, 2009, at approximately 7:16 pm, Laredo Police were dispatched to Oro Valle, a kiosk located at 5300 San Dario for a theft report. Upon arrival, Officers discovered that two male subjects stole an expensive jewelry item after asking to see it. One suspect was wearing a red/white striped shirt and black cap, the second subject was wearing a blue shirt and a white cap. One of the suspects, who had multiple tattoos on his right arm, asked to see a 10k 154gram gold Chinese link bracelet with a blank name plate valued at $5,800. The suspects then snatched the bracelet and both ran out of the mall through an exit and made their escape in a tan or beige Chevy Tahoe which drove east towards Calle Del Norte.

Through the course of the investigation robbery detectives obtained various evidence, including confidential information as to the possible identity of the robbers.  There was eventually enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant for Arturo Rene Molina,  charging him with theft (state jail felony).

On Thursday, February 18, 2010, Molina was arrested at his residence on 2022 Mallorca Drive and served with the arrest warrant for Theft (SJF).  The case is considered open and ongoing and there are more arrests pending
