The Laredo Police arrested 3 men and 1 16 year old male juvenile for Retaliation Felony 3. On October 24, 2009 at 10:43 pm at the 1500 block of Corpus Christi a woman saw a man outside in the car port of her brother’s house. She then told her brother about this then he and another male ran outside to investigate. The male in the carport ran from the scene when confronted. The car had been broken into and the steering column and starter had been broken open in an attempt to steal the car. The woman then looked down the street and saw the man who they had seen in the carport. The two men ran after the suspect who then was picked up in a dark colored passenger vehicle with 3 other suspects in it. After a while the men returned to their home and the car full of male suspects pulled up to the home and began to assault all three victims. The woman victim, who happens to be a high school teacher, recognized one of the four men as a former student of hers.
Detectives from the Juvenile Enforcement Team followed up the investigation and eventually got arrest warrants for the four suspects for Retaliation F/3. Ariel Mendiola, Cesar H. Trevino Jr., Jesse Amezquita, and a 16 year old male turned themselves in to police custody late yesterday afternoon. The juvenile was taken to the Webb County Juvenile Village. The other three were taken to Webb County Jail where they were held under a $50,000 bond each except for Amezquita who was given a $10,000 bond set by J.P. O Liendo.
