(Laredo, TX ) The City of Laredo Environmental Services Department, with funds provided by the Department of Energy, through their Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, has established a Home Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan program. This program will provide a friendlier, more cost effective alternative for citizens who wish to improve their home energy efficiency, which may lead to immediate money savings, improve comfort and help protect the environment. This program will also provide funds for families who want to remodel their roof with help from Bell Roofing Company.
The City of Laredo was originally accepting applications from May 31, 2011 through June 10, 2011. However, there are still funds available and the department will continue to accept funds until all grant money is used by Laredo homeowners. Therefore, all homeowners who meet the initial qualifications are encouraged to apply. Applications may be obtained by visiting the Environmental Services Department at 619 Reynolds, during normal business hours, or by visiting the City of Laredo website at www.cityoflaredo.com.
