June 2, 2009 (LAREDO, TX) The Laredo Entertainment Center is ecstatic to announce that the most popular duo in Reggaeton music today, Wisin y Yandel, will be performing live on Sunday, October 25th at 7:30 pm. This event is proudly sponsored by HKG Duty Free and KRK Homes.
“We know that Reggaeton music is big in our community, and we are excited that HKG Duty Free and KRK Homes have chosen to sponsor this event at our facility,” said Roy Medina, General Manager for the SMG-managed Laredo Entertainment Center. “This multi-platinum group has been on top of the Latin Billboard charts for a long time, and it is only appropriate that they have a venue such as ours to demonstrate their great musical talent,” added Medina.
“La Revolucion” is the seventh studio album, and ninth overall album by Puerto Rican Reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. It was released on May 26, 2009 by Machete Music and WY Records. This album features collaborations with rapper 50 cent, Ivy Queen, Yaviah, Ednita Nazario, and Yomo.
The album is reported to incorporate the older styles and sounds of Wisin & Yandel’s music, tracing back to when they first started to produce music. “It will be a return to our origins; it will have everything,” said Wisin. Although the show is set for October 25th, the announcement needed to be made in order to be part of a national on-sale date that is set for this Friday, June 5th @ 10 am. “It is important that we try to be part of these national on-sale dates because not only do they measure the popularity of these particular groups, but they give all industry promoters and agents an insight to our buying market,” added Medina.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 5th at the LEC box office, www.ticketmaster.com, and all Ticketmaster outlets at 10:00am. Ticket prices are: $93, $73, $53, $43, and $33 (plus facility fee and $1 charity fee)
