The Teens in the Driver Seat Organization of the Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Fine Arts will be hosting a Proclamation Ceremony on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Historic St. Peters Plaza. City of Laredo Mayor, Raul G. Salinas together with Laredo ISD Interim Superintendent, Dr. Ronald McLeod will proclaim the month of May as Safe Teen Driving Month. With proms and graduations around the corner it is important to stress the importance of safe teen driving. Teens in the Driver Seat is an organization that focuses on five major risks for teen drivers. Risks include: driving at night, speeding, cell-phone distractions, not wearing a seat belt, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
