On Saturday January 9, 2010 3:50 pm, an officer was dispatched to Calle del Norte and McPherson for a male vagrant urinating in public. When the officer arrived and encountered the male subject, the subject became aggressive and grabbed a rock taking a combative stance against the officer. When the officer attempted to take control of the subject, the subject then assaulted the officer by striking him on the back of the head with the rock. With the assistance of some bystanders, the officer was able to take control of subject. Assisting officers arrived and placed the subject under arrest. The officer sustained multiple lacerations to the back side of head and a small laceration to front of head. The officer was transported to LMC for treatment. The officer received four stitches to the back of head and was released from LMC. Daryl Thrash, 38, was charged with Aggravated-Assault on a Police Officer and held under no bond.
Hey,
The guy’s homeless and stores in Laredo won’t let you use the restroom so why was this man bothered is beyond me, they did him a favor in my eyes taking him in and giving him room and board. I’m glad he knocked that cop on his ass, I was assaulted once and I wish I would have retaliated cause all charges were dropped since they whooped my ass.
love your fellow man no need for violence
