City of Laredo Celebrates Historic Appointment of Daniella Sada Paz as First Female Chairperson of Planning & Zoning Commission

Laredo, Texas – In honor of Women’s History Month, the City of Laredo proudly congratulates Ms. Daniella Sada Paz on her appointment as the first female Chairperson of the Planning & Zoning Commission, marking a historic milestone for the city.

Ms. Sada Paz also represents another groundbreaking achievement as the first woman appointee from District 7 to serve in this esteemed capacity. Her appointment highlights the continued progress toward increased leadership representation in Laredo.

Vanessa Perez, Mayor Pro Tempore and District 7 Council Member, the first woman to be selected twice in this capacity, proudly nominated her district appointee, Ms. Sada Paz, for this distinguished role.

“We have never had a Chairwoman before; I’m very proud of her, I’m very proud of her service,” said Mayor Pro Tempore Vanessa Perez. “She has a lot of experience. I want to recognize that she is the first, and she is making history.”

The City of Laredo extends its heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Sada Paz on this well-deserved achievement and looks forward to the positive impact of her leadership.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunity Vanessa Perez gave me to represent District 7. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I guess is not a coincidence, there was a plan, God’s plan to be elected Chair,” said Chairperson Daniella Sada Paz.
