City of Laredo COVID-19 Update

Courtesy Rafael Benavides,

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County are announcing new positive cases of COVID-19.

Person 23 is a case of transmission through close contact and remains is stable. Person 24 is a case of community transmission and is hospitalized but in stable condition. Person 25 is another case of community transmission and is also hospitalized but in stable condition.

The City of Laredo Health Department is reminding the public that it is conducting contact investigation on persons who have tested positive to determine possible exposure to others. If the health department has not contacted you there is no need to take any action at this time. However, if someone is sick they need to stay home. In households with a positive person, there should only be one dedicated caregiver. Other family members must stay apart and practice good hygiene and social distancing. The positive person should be in a dedicated room and must wear a mask and not gather with other family members. The caregiver should also wear a mask when providing care. This is extremely important as evidence points to strong clustering among positive persons. Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

IF Laredo has less than 100 cases then we need a shut down . because every day we are at risk of a 30% each day to have more cases and i have heard from other states and health Doctors say this .that a state, town that has less than 100 cases {SHUT IT DOWN} keep it safe and not allowing it to spread more within the community .also the time an hours of curfew for Laredo is not working we continue to see many people more than 40 in stores and this is during the day .the curfew should be during the day not at 10 :00 pm
