(Laredo, Texas)-Every year, IBC Bank works with Kazen Elementary to create a mini-metropolis within the campus in order to teach the students about financial responsibility. Within this mini-metropolis, students at Kazen Elementary open and operate a bank, a grocery store, and a post office. IBC holds an interview process where students can apply for jobs as tellers, security guards, and teller supervisors.
Students can even apply for a job as the president or vice-president of the bank. The newly hired employees of the IBC branch in Kazenopolis were invited to the IBC Main branch to gain a hands-on experience of their new duties and responsibilities as an IBC employee. The students toured the main branch and were able to speak to different members of the departments to learn just how a bank functions. Kazenopolis will officially open during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 1, 2019 at Kazen Elementary.
