United ISD Announces Andrea Sanchez Principal For Cuellar Elementary

(Laredo, Texas)-The United Independent School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent Roberto J. Santos named Mrs. Andrea Sanchez as the new Principal for Cuellar Elementary School effective the 2018-2019 school year. The formal appointment was made on June 12, 2018.
Mrs. Sanchez graduated with Bachelor Degree from The University of Aquinas in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She holds certifications for Generalist EC-6, Reading 6-8, and Special Education EC-12. In year 2011 she graduated with a Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University.
She began her teaching career in 2003. In 2007, She became a District Testing Coordinator at La Gloria ISD. A year later she moved to Laredo and was hired by Laredo ISD to teach special education students at Nixon High School. The next year she was hired by United ISD as a Special Populations Coordinator for Antonio Gonzalez Middle School. In 2013, she transferred to Juarez-Lincoln Elementary where she served as an Assistant Principal. Three years later she returned to Antonio Gonzalez Middle School to serve in the capacity as an Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Sanchez succeeds Mrs. Melissa D. Shinn who has accepted the Principal Position at Andrew Trautmann Elementary.
