(Laredo, Texas)- Juan F. Ramon is an ebullient and articulate 8th grade student who attends United Middle School. At the young age of seven, Ramon created characters that were inspired by life changing events, dreams, people who have had a profound impact on him, and books that he read. The end result of his experiences was finally realized with the recent publication of his first book entitled Half The Battle: A Hero’s War.
On March 1, 2018, Ramon formally announced the publication of his first literary work to three groups of students in the school library. Ramon also discussed his creative process and the steps he took to publish his story about a clever 13 year old hero-in training who inadvertently finds himself fighting for justice against an unconventional villain. “I have always enjoyed the super heroes.
In many ways my book shows my gratitude for the justice they dispense to evil doers” said Ramon. “I was excited to explain my creative process with fellow students, and hope they feel inspired to sit down and write an original story. I want to thank all of the teachers I have had over the years, because they motivated me to turn my ideas and thoughts into a story” he concluded. Juan’s book is currently available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.
