(Laredo, Texas)-Practice makes perfect and for one United High School Senior this saying rang true. Myrnalejandra Canales scored a perfect score on her Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish Language and Culture Exam. By receiving a perfect score, Myrnalejandra is one of 46 students in the world to achieve this accomplishment and is the first United High School to do so. Campus staff and administration celebrated this momentous achievement with a recognition ceremony where fellow classmates, family, and campus staff celebrated Myrnalejandra.
“We are very proud of Myrnalejandra’s success,” stated Alberto Aleman, United High School Principal. “Her scores are a testament that hard work and dedication can bring great rewards,” he added.
Students who score successfully on AP Exams can save on college expenses. Most colleges and universities nationwide offer college credit, advanced placement, or both, for qualifying AP Exam scores. These credits can allow students to save college tuition, study abroad, or secure a second major.
