Rio Research Roundup to kick off its 7th annual water testing event

Over 85 school teams, including 28 local teams, to test the water quality of the Rio Grande
Laredo, Texas – The Rio Grande International Study Center, Laredo’s leading and only non-profit environmental organization, is pleased to announce their 7th annual Rio Research Roundup. The event will be held Tuesday, October 12th at 9:00 am throughout various points of the Rio Grande. There are 28 local teams that will be competing from Laredo.
This year, there are 88 teams competing, including schools from Colorado, New Mexico, Texas and Mexico. Students will be taking water samples to test and then compare results to other schools in order to get an idea of the pollution present in their area.
