(Laredo, Tx)-During yesterday’s Mayors Institute on City Design conference, City of Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson invited friend and colleague City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas to pose for a photo in front of a mural depicting support for comprehensive immigration reform. The mural is in the heart of downtown Sacramento. Mayor Johnson is a strong advocate for immigration reform and has been very supportive of Mayor Salinas efforts on this issue. Mayor Salinas chairs the U.S. Conference of Mayors Task Force on Immigration Reform.
Both mayors agree that immigration reform will become a reality in the future. Mayor Salinas said, “The time for immigration reform is now.”
