USHS Students Headed To The Big Apple for Nat’l Conference


United South Students New York Bound:  Students of the United South High School Model United Nations Club recently received a donation from Mary Lamar Leyendecker and the Fernando A. Salinas Trust Fund for their upcoming trip to New York for the National High School Model United Nations Conference which is the premier conference on the high school Model UN circuit.  These students will be competing with over 3,000 students from 150 schools and over 20 countries who were picked to represent their assigned delegations in simulated committee meetings and plenary sessions. This conference will provide students with an unparalleled opportunity to experience the theory and practice of international relations firsthand.
