Congressman Cuellar announces $2 million for noise mitigation
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Henry Cuellar today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a $2 million grant to the Laredo International Airport for noise mitigation
The money will be used to help residents living south of the airport from Highway 59 (Saunders) in the north to Clark Boulevard in the south and from Arkansas Avenue in the west to the Eastwoods Subdivision area in the east.

The new Texas A&M International University students are taking part in “Dusty Camp,” a new student overnight orientation program Thursday and Friday at TAMIU. The Camp begins Thursday at 10 a.m. and continues through 5 p.m. Friday, June 12.

ON MAY 21, 2009 A REPORT WAS MADE TO LAREDO POLICE OF A CASE OF STALKING AND INDECENT EXPOSURE. THE OFFENDER WAS ALLEGEDLY FOLLOWING THE 14 YR. OLD FEMALE VICTIM FOR A SEVERAL DAYS. THE VICTIM APPARENTLY WALKS TO AND FROM SCHOOL EVERYDAY. THE VICTIM STATED THAT ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT DAYS THE OFFENDER WAS DRIVING DIFFERENT VEHICLES AND WAS FOLLOWING HER HOME. THE VICTIM STATED THAT THE OFFENDER ON 5-21-09 OFFENDER FOLLOWED HER AND THEN STOPPED HIS VEHICLE AND EXPOSED HIMSELF TO VICTIM.
