(Laredo, Texas)-United high school 9th-grade students in Coach Daniel Gomez’s health class have been doing an excellent job promoting Social Emotional Learning. S.E.L. is the process of developing skills that are vital for success at school, work, and life in general.
“I asked my students to collaborate as teams so they could create posters that promote recognizing and managing emotions, kindness, controlling impulses, empathy, communicating effectively, and working with others,” said Gomez. Research has shown that individuals with strong social-emotional skills benefit personally, academically, professionally, and socially.
