(Laredo, Texas)-South Laredo’s Suga Show Basketball Team falls in defeat for the second week in a row dropping their City of Laredo A Division Summer League record to 3-2 while sending them into 3rd place. Suga’s big men Jonathan Bravo and Louie Ibarra contributed a combined total of 32 points to the scoreboard but it was still not enough to overtake the On Scene Basketball team which wins the game by a score of 62-60 in regulation play.
Suga’s point-guard Anthony Merino finishes his night with 11 points and Josue Casarez puts up 11 as well while both continue to play a good defense.
Jesus “Chuy Treviño returns to on the court play for the first time since last year as he rejoins his Suga Show teammates for a second go around on the team after having a stellar season in the 2022 City of Laredo C Division Winter Basketball Leauge in which Suga Show finished in second place. Chuy Treviño followed up that great season by helping take EZ Money into the City of Laredo’s A Winter Division Basketball League in 2023. Chuy Treviño finishes his night with 6 points of two three-point shots.
Joshwa Palacios played a solid defense coming in during key moments of the game to help give teammates much needed rest as On Scene played a relentless game in its own right not backing an inch to Suga’s offensive play.
Suga Show will need to have a stronger offensive production as it heads into next week’s game against the league’s #1 team and defending champions Bad Boys.
