City, County Confirm Seven New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have SEVEN new confirmed death in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 805th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-70’s. He died on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

The 806th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-80’s. She died on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

The 807th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-40’s. He died on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

The 808th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-80’s. She died on Saturday, March 06, 2021.

The 809th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-50’s. He died on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

The 810th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-50’s. He died on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

The 811th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-40’s. He died on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, a total of: 311,549 people have been tested; 42,980 have resulted positive (85 are estimated active); 42,084 persons are estimated recovered; 26 are currently hospitalized (15 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 4.46% and 811 people have died.
