Laredo, TEXAS – Due to an amended Health Order by the City of Laredo, a curfew will be imposed for the upcoming weekends between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Effective dates are from February 5-8 and February 12-15, 2021.
Therefore, the City of Laredo Parks & Recreation’s Bikes in the Park program and tennis courts will have adjusted operational hours. Bikes in the Park is a program operated by staff from the City of Laredo Parks and Recreation Department. This free program allows individuals to borrow a pedal mountain bike from stations located at five City of Laredo parks. Bicyclists are recommended to use bike trails located in the area. Other details include:
Every individual who signs-up to borrow a bike must wear a face mask or face covering when at the bike station.
Adults 18 years and over must have a proper government issued ID. Individuals who are younger than 18 years old must have a parent present to sign a waiver and provide an ID.
Helmets will be provided to each individual borrowing a bike. Individuals must return bikes before the end of the allotted time of operation.
Helmets and bicycles are sanitized after they are used.
