(Laredo, Tx)-UISD is proud to announce that 185 students from the District have earned AP (Advanced Placement), Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on corresponding exams.

Seven students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average score of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. The students are David E. Gonzalez, Ryan Moncivais, Pedro A. Perez, Juan D. Villarreal, and Paden F. Zimmermann from United High School; Daniella E. Morales and Eva S. Nance from Alexander High School.

Thirty-three students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. The students are Carlos Casellas Garza, Lilia I. Elizondo, Roberto D. Hernandez, Daniela Medina, Alma C. Mireles, Daniella E. Morales, Eva S. Nance, and Jose F. Serna from J.B.
