Laredo Commission for Women Announces Hall of Fame 2020 Inductees

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo’s Commission for Women (LCW) today announced their 2020 inductees for the Woman’s Hall of Fame. The selection was made from applications that were submitted by Laredo Citizens. The inductees were recommended by the selection committee and the commission then approved by council members on Tuesday January 21, 2020. The inductees will be honored on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at La Posada San Agustin Ballroom.
To be eligible nominees must be women living in Laredo or who were legal residents of Laredo at the time they performed their service. Elected officials and/or candidates for office at all levels of government and members of City boards, commissions or committees are not eligible. Nominees must have been active in the category for which they are nominated and the service must have been performed within the city limits of the city of Laredo. Categories are Fine and Performing, Business/Professional, Education, Civic Leadership/Public Service, Philanthropy, Volunteerism, Law Enforcement, Healthcare, Legal and Military. Nominations were accepted with a completed application and supporting documentation.
