Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez Hails Summer Camp as Total Success

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) — Jesse Gonzalez, Webb County Commissioner Precinct 1, is pleased to announce that the week-long summer camp held for children from his activity centers was a total success and is already looking forward to next year’s. The camp culminated Friday afternoon.
The camp was enjoyed by more than 30 participants and included visits to the Webb County Sheriff’s Office PAL Gym, Cinemark at Mall del Norte, Laredo Water Museum, Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center, and the Torres Bunch Retreat Ranch.
Friday’s culmination included a hamburger and hot-dog cookout, where the children were also treated to a day full of fun and activities.
“I personally thank everyone who made this camp possible,” said Commissioner Gonzalez. “The smiles on the children’s faces were priceless. It’s events like these that makes me work harder for my constituents to continue providing for our community.”
The children were just as enthused about the camp and said they cannot wait for next year’s activities.
“This is the best camp ever”! said Miqueas Alvarez, a 12-year-old who attends Salvador Garcia Middle School.
