Sheriff’s deputies arrest 6 men on separate charges

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – The Webb County Sheriff’s Office has arrested six men on separate charges, including parole violation, theft, criminal trespass, and burglary of habitation.

Those arrested include:
Gerardo Higareda, 22, on parole violation, theft, criminal trespass charges.
Jose Daniel Escobedo, 29, on burglary of habitation and theft.
Jaime Escamilla, 31, on theft felony charges.
Jorge Higareda, 22, on parole violation charges.
Andres Salazar, 33, on theft charges.
Jorge Rodriguez, 43, on violation of protective order charges.

All were remanded to the Webb County Jail.

Investigators suspect that these men are also persons of interest in the rash of burglaries recently in El Cenizo.

Also wanted in connection to the series of burglaries and thefts is Juan Manuel Bryand-Lira, 41, for whom an arrest warrant has already been issued.

“I congratulate my team of investigators for their diligence in working these cases. Our mission is to make Webb County safer, and one way of doing so is by getting these people off the streets,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
