(Laredo, Texas)-Students from United South High School took part in Red Ribbon Week activities during the week of October 24-28. Members from Student Council reached out to local law enforcement agencies such as United ISD’s Chief of Police Clemente Camarillo, Officers David Martinez and Penny Longoria as well as Ezequiel Mancha, District Attorney Investigator. Officers spoke about the dangers of drugs and alcohol and the importance of living a drug free life. Students also received a presentation from United ISD’s canine Handler Penny Longoria and canine Dragon, whose efforts have effectively reduced the amount of drugs on school zones. Together we can make Panther land a drug free zone.
