United ISD To Host Uniform Voucher Assistance Event

(Laredo, Texas)-United ISD will host a uniform voucher drive for parents in need of a school uniform for their child.
The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday July 28 and again MondayAugust 1 and Tuesday 2 at the Student Activity Complex (rooms 1 and 2) located at 5208 Santa Claudia Lane.
The event is open to parents of United ISD students who are enrolled from pre-k through 12th grade and are in need of a uniform for their child.
To apply for a uniform voucher, a parent must bring their photo ID and a copy of one of the following documents to the event:
• Most recent TANF or Food Stamp Eligibility Letter, OR
• Most current paycheck stub verifying monthly income, OR
• Copy of most recent W-2 form, OR
• Income Tax return, OR
• Any other documentation verifying monthly or annual income
The District is requesting all students be registered online to be eligible to receive a uniform voucher. United ISD staff members will present at the event to assist parents who have not yet registered their child online in order to qualify for their voucher.
As per District policy, all students enrolled in United ISD must wear a school uniform. Parents who meet eligibility guidelines and requirements may qualify to receive one uniform voucher per child.
