PHOTO RECAP: Mayor Salinas Plays Cupid on Valentine’s Day

(Laredo, Tx)-City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas, along with Justice of the Peace Judge Oscar Liendo and Mike Marasco, owner of the local McDonald’s franchise, helped seniors from the Laredo Housing Authority Senior Center and Hamilton Hotel, celebrate Valentine’s Day. Mayor Salinas, Judge Liendo and Marasco helped crown Antonio Garza and Estella Heitt the King and Queen of today’s event, which included a lively dance.
Mayor Salinas was happy to be with the seniors, stating that “we need more love in the world and we have a lot of love in Laredo.” Judge Liendo, who brought roses for all the elderly ladies at the celebration, echoed the mayor’s sentiments on spreading good will and friendship to all family and friends on this day. Marasco was pleased to represent McDonald’s and get involved in the community, whether helping children or the elderly, but was eager to “get this party started.”
