Get Powered by TAMIU this Spring

Courtesy Steve Harmon,

Get a bachelor’s or master’s degree and you increase your chances of earning a higher income than those without. Research proves it. But what if you are considering changing careers, are currently content with your career or just want to learn or do something new? Enroll in a class at Texas A&M International University.

Traditionally, young co-eds and recent high school graduates roam university campuses, but TAMIU offers classes, credit and non-credit, for non-traditional students.

The University offers online, evening and Saturday classes. Browse through the online schedule at http://schedule.tamiu.edu

Spring 2012 classes start Tuesday, Jan. 17.

 For Credit

Do you get anxious whenever you have to make a presentation? Take a public speaking or theatre class.

Maybe you always fancied writing the great American novel once you retired or once the kiddos started school. Don’t put it off. Get your creative juices flowing with a creative writing class.

Has someone complimented you on your singing voice? Take a voice class or enroll in a jazz or mariachi class.

Are you interested in learning about music? Sign up for a music appreciation class or American Popular Music.

Learn toplay the guitar, piano, organ, clarinet, violin and many more instruments. If you already know how to play an instrument, take a refresher course or sign up for band, orchestra or chamber music class.

Perhaps you want to tackle something completely different. You can learn French, Portuguese, or Spanish.

Those interested in current events might want to sign up for a geography class, Survey of the Middle East or Women in the Developing World. You could also give current events a fresh perspective with a class in women’s history.
