Supply our Schools! District 6 Councilman Charlie San Miguel presents less fortunate Children with School Supplies

District 6 City Councilman Charlie San Miguel donated a healthy dose of school supplies to representatives from various schools within District 6. In an effort to help our community’s future, our children, have the supplies they need to go back to school Councilman Charlie San Miguel thanked the community for participating in his run event held at City of Laredo North Central Park a few weeks ago. The event was designed to collect either a school supply or a donation to buy the school supplies in exchange for the entry into the afternoon run. The outpouring of support was overwhelming for the benefit of the less fortunate children in our community. Councilman San Miguel drew inspiration from Mother Teresa of Calcutta who once said “We cannot all do great things, but we can all do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.” Councilman San Miguel says that “no matter how small a box of crayons is when put in a pile of other small school supplies it creates a sizeable difference in our children’s life. The schools will distribute the supplies to their neediest students accordingly. Councilman San Miguel thanked all the local groups and corporate donations for their heartfelt efforts in making this Supply our Schools drive a shining success.
