GLASS BOARD OF TEXAS, INITIATES OPERATIONS IN LAREDO

(Laredo, Tx)-Glass Boards of Texas, opens its doors in Laredo, increasing the number of companies in Laredo and offering new job opportunities to our city. The company, Glass Boards Of Texas, a Mexican manufacturer of a new generation of blackboards mainly services schools and universities and is opening its headquarters in Laredo.

Glass Boards, is one of the nearly 300 companies that underwent during the last months technical training through the “Business Without Borders” conference for international businesses in Laredo and were invited to open its industrial branches in Laredo and be a new source of employment for the city.

Over 30 new companies have been formed in Laredo in the past 9 months as a result of a promotional plan engineered by Javier Amieva, President of Inforcred and endorsed by the City of Laredo and other private entities including banks, lawyers, accountants, etc. In reference to this plan, Mayor Raul Salinas, commented a few months ago: “Among one of the objectives is to promote both the economy of Laredo and Mexico, as well as the international trade option that allows businesses to operate simultaneously in both countries. We want to invite businessmen to start business projects in our area – projects like distribution centers or new franchise locations that would create new job opportunities.”

“Estimates indicate that by the end of the year there will have been about 200 new jobs resulting from these promotional programs and plans, and for this purpose, local businesses count with the support of the administrators of the City of Laredo, The Workforce Solutions and other important organizations like the Laredo Chamber of Commerce. We are also confident that the Laredo Development Foundation, in its new phase will find in our organization continuous support to achieve its goals,”  Javier Amieva, President of Inforcred said, In reference to the promotional programs that are endorsed by the City as well as the collaborative efforts with the Conventions and Visitors Bureau of Laredo in the tourism arena,  “we wish the best to Glass Boards of Texas  which is opening today and its success is proof that such collaborative efforts produce good results.”

The City of Laredo has supported programs during the past year to invite investment companies, create jobs, and penetrate areas of industrial development; over 400 companies that attended last year’s “Business Without Borders” conference in Laredo because they are seeking opportunities to open foreign branches in our city. The next “Business Without Borders” conference is scheduled for September 2011, in Laredo and another group of 200 corporations that are looking to invest in Texas have been invited to participate.
