The other seizure also occurred at the same bridge on April 9. A CBP officer referred a 1998 Ford Sport driven by a 50-year-old male Mexican citizen from Piedras Negras, Coahuila , Mexico for a secondary examination. During the examination, CBP officers discovered anomalies throughout the vehicle. CBP officers conducted an intensive examination and discovered 50 packages containing a total of nearly 105 pounds of marijuana. The marijuana has an estimated street value of $105,000.
CBP officers turned the drivers of both vehicles over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI) special agents for further investigation and seized the narcotics and the vehicles.
