Council Member Narvaez Donates Back Packs to LISD Elementary Students

Cm. Narvaez, wanting to help the families of his district, has partnered with Kohl’s donated 220 back packs, filled with a $35 gift card to Kohl’s – for a total of $7,700 – to go towards the purchase of school uniform, underclothes, shoes or a jacket, to students in six elementary schools.
“Children can only succeed in school if they have the tools, and clothing is an important part of those tools,” said Narvaez. “This is just one effort to help keep them on that path,” he concluded.
Funding for the gift cards came from City of Laredo funds and private sector donations.
