At about 2:12 am, LPD received a call of a theft on progress by the 1000 block of Ranch Way. The caller on the line reported that someone was stealing his neighbor’s motorcycles. Caller further stated that the suspects had just left the area in a pick-up truck, unknown make or model. Officers converged immediately covering all the outlets coming from the Mines Road area. Downtown officers were advised to cover the bridges as well.
An officer spotted Ford pick-up truck with a motorcycle in the back by 400 Shiloh. The officer stopped the truck with the motorcycle, and discovered that the driver was the same suspect involved in the theft from 1000 Ranch Way. Other officers arrived and assisted in the arrest of one Nestor Muñoz, 06-12-89. The victim (owner of motorcycles) advised officers that the suspect had stolen two motorcycles from his residence. Auto Theft investigators were called out to the scene. While officers were leaving the scene, a patrol supervisor proceeds to drive around the apartment complex where the car was stopped, and discovered the second stolen motorcycle, which is on top of a maroon GMC pick-up truck, abandoned in the rear of the parking lot. Muñoz was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Bond was pending magistration.

The thefts go back from November 2009 through December 2009 when they were caught in the act (mentioned above in original release). They stole a 2008 Yamaha, (2) 2008 Suzuki bikes, 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 636, and a 2006 Kawasaki bike.
A Laredo attorney from a prominent family there was handed a 2 ½-year prison sentence Monday in a Dallas federal court for acting as a bag man for Mexican drug traffickers trying to pay off a government informant.
Alonzo Ramos, 40, admitted that in 2008 he acted as an intermediary for Mexican drug traffickers who wanted to buy the silence of a Houston-based smuggler who’d been busted. Ramos offered $48,500 to Lizandro Tijerina, who was on trial in New Orleans, in exchange for the smuggler’s silence. Tijerina, it turned out, was already cooperating with federal authorities and recorded his conversations with Ramos. Later, federal agents watched as Ramos delivered the cash to one of Tijerina’s relatives in Laredo.

I agree with Jerry, I understand we may all make mistakes but Nestor if you wanna apologize and own up for what you did and come up in this comment box, you might as well not even talk. An apology is not gonna solve this. You wanna own up might as well feel sorry and start paying this ppl for what you did….Charges against you will only pay the society fees but not the damage you really caused. No one is gonna pat you in the back and say apology accepted. But hey dont worry, Karma is very nice at times.
Dont blame your problems on your friends. You are old enough to know what you are doing. If you had two jobs and you work hard you should know what it is to pay for something. I am barely up on my feet right now, struggling with the increasing prices of gas and the high maintenance cost of a car due to increasing the ammount of miles i am putting into it because of you and your friends. I hope you know I will try to do everything possible to at least get the money that, by right, belongs to me since that motorcycle you took is in nuevo laredo in god knows who’s hands. Not only did you take my property, but it is because of people like you that Laredo is the way it is. Dont try to talk yourself into a nice person that got involved with the wrong crowd, I might not be much older than you and I know the difference between good and bad. YOU and your buddies should take responsibility for what YOU are doing.
hi guys im the guy from the picture and i just want to say sorry for what ive done and believe me that we are not like you are thinking my brother and i we are from a goo families and all we went to the best school in nvo laredo and here we went to a good school too but the only thing is that those people who we thought that were our friends they werent because they put us into a very hard problem and really i used to have a job and i was in school with 2 careers but now im so destroyed that i have to start all over again and i lost my girlfriend and lots of my friends because of that but oh well my apoligies to youall from me and my brother and thanks for reading this.
These dudes stole my motorcycle and i’m not really taking it personal but i dont understand why some people are so inconsiderate to take someone elses property for either fun or money without thinking beforehand of what they may cause. I work hard to pay for that motorcycle and i didnt have full insurance and now i’m stuck with paying for something i cant use. On top of that it’s not like i could simply buy myself anotherone to move arround. I hope they stay put away for a long time.
