Sunday Morning Robbers Arrested

On Sunday January 10, 2010 , at approximately 6 am, three adults and two juveniles were arrested & detained by officers, at the intersection of Gustavus and Malinche for being involved in an Aggravated Robbery at a convenience store located on (602 Aldama). A male suspect displayed and pointed a handgun at the store clerk and demanded money. The clerk refused to hand over the money. Several of other suspects began urging the armed suspect to shoot the clerk. No one was injured in the incident and no money was taken.
The suspects stole some energy drinks and caused severe damage to the store and fled in a p/u truck. A lookout was given on the suspect’s vehicle. The vehicle was located and stopped at the intersection of Gustavus and Malinche resulting in the capture of the five suspects. The handgun suspected of being used in the robbery was also recovered inside the car. The three adults and two juveniles were also linked to at least two beer runs at other convenience stores earlier as well. The adults were 26 yr old Ricardo Ramos, 18 yr old Alexis Alyssa Gonzalez, and 18 yr old Saul Enrique Garcia were all taken to Webb County Jail charged with Aggravated Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. The two juveniles, a 16 & 15 yr old males were detained and taken to Webb County Juvenile Detention Center. All were held without bond.
