On 11-06-09, LPD Officers along with members of the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force proceeded to 3009 Garfield for the purposes of executing (3) narcotics arrest warrants on Javier Monicivais, Jorge Moncivais Sr, and Jorge Moncivais Jr. Upon arrival, authorities encountered and arrested all three mentioned defendants. During the execution of the warrants, Officers observed a fourth suspect, Jesus Marchan, throwing items out of his pocket. The items were subsequently recovered and identified as approximately 3.2 grams of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. A fifth suspect in the residence, pending arrest, also attempted to rid items from a pillow case. The items were ultimately recovered and identified as approximately .3 grams of a black tar substance, wrapped in foil, believed to be heroin. The items were later submitted to the property room and stored as evidence. Both Marchan and the 5th suspect were released at the scene while the above listed defendants were transported to the LPD for booking purposes.
