CITY OF LAREDO CLOSURE NOTICE

(Laredo, Tx)-City of Laredo Administrative Offices will be closed on Tuesday January 1, 2013 in observance of New Year’s Day.
Protective and emergency services will be operational.
Please be aware that there will be NO trash, recycling or lawn clippings collection service on Tuesday. Garbage and recycling collection schedule will resume on Thursday, January 3, 2013 on regularly scheduled routes; however, volunteer drivers will be collecting Tuesday’s route on Wednesday.
The City of Laredo Landfill will be open on Monday, December 31, 2012; it will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. It will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. The Recycling Drop-Off Center will be closed on Tuesday and reopen on Wednesday.
In observance of the New Year’s holiday, the Laredo Public Library and Bruni Plaza Branch will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. The Bruni Branch will also be closed on Monday, December 31, 2012.
The El Metro bus schedule and El Lift bus service for the holiday will be as follows:
Monday, December 31, 2012: Fixed route and El Lift service – regular; administrative offices open Tuesday, January 1, 2013:
Fixed route and El Lift service – Sunday Service; administrative offices closed
The City of Laredo Municipal Court will also be closed on Tuesday. Individuals scheduled to appear in court that day have a minimum of 10 working days to make an appearance. Contact Municipal Court for more information at 794-1680.
City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
