US 83 S. Traffic Signal and Pavement Striping Work at River Hill

LAREDO, Tx-Effective June 13-14, 2011, Star Operations has placed the newly installed traffic signal light at the intersection of US 83 South ( Zapata Highway ) and Riverhill on yellow-red flashing mode. Traffic on US 83 will have the yellow flashing light and traffic on Riverhill will have the red flashing light. Full activation of the traffic signal light to red, yellow, green mode will occur on June 15, 2011.
On June 15, 2011, Highway Technologies, subcontractor for Star Operations, will be stripping the intersection of US 83 and Riverhill which will require alternating lane closures at said intersection in order to perform the pavement striping work.
Please drive slow, prepare to merge, expect travel delays and place close attention to traffic safety signs, road markings and channelization devices in and around the work area.
