 Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at approximately 8 p.m., Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a 1994 Geo Metro near the airport at Loop 20.  Upon further investigation, deputies noticed a couple of large bundles  wrapped with black electrical tape in the back seat of the vehicle. Sheriff’s K-9 gave positive alert of narcotics to said bundles. A total of 75pounds of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana were seized. The marijuana had an approximately street value …

Congressman Cuellar to Meet FAA Administrator Today for Update on Texas UAV
 Washington, DC – On Wednesday, officials from Customs and Border Protection (CBP) briefed Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) on the unmanned aircraft system expected to patrol the Texas-Mexico border by this fall. The technical briefing reviewed the operational capacities of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), in anticipation of an impending flight approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.
