TxDOT Laredo Maintenance compressed work week

LAREDO – Effective December 1, 2009, TxDOT Laredo Maintenance office and road maintenance crews will follow a 10 hour-a-day, compressed work week schedule, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. with the exception of work weeks that include a state holiday where crews will resume a regular, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. work schedule less the holiday.
The new maintenance work schedule will generate a cost savings in the areas electricity, fuel, and vehicle wear and tear, as well as assist with employee-workload efficiency.
