Join Us in Support of Sheriff Cuellar’s Fight Against Diabetes
Sheriff Martin Cuellar is competing for the chance to kiss a REAL PIG in this year’s Kiss-A-Pig contest. The ADA holds the Kiss-A-Pig Fundraising Gala to create greater awareness of the devastating effects of diabetes and to promote the role pigs have played as a source of insulin for the diabetic. In this campaign, local business professionals compete to thank the pig for producing the first source of insulin by raising the most dollars for diabetes research and education. Each vote collected represents a one-dollar donation to the American Diabetes Association. The candidate who garners the most votes by the deadline receives the honor of kissing the pig!
