Webb County Holiday Closures

New Webb County Tax Assessor Sworn In

Courtesy Larry Sanchez, (Laredo, Texas)-Newly appointed Tax Assessor Collector Norma C. Farabough is sworn in by 49th District Court Judge Joe Lopez.  Farabough was appointed to her position Monday by Webb County Commissioners.  She officially starts her duties on Monday.    

Man Found Guilty of Murder

Courtesy Yanira Deleon, (Laredo, Texas)-The Office of the District Attorney reports a guilty verdict for Mario Alberto Martinez, 21, who was charged with murder for killing a homeless man.  The case came to light on October 25, 2016, when the victim’s girlfriend waived down a Laredo Police Department officer and informed him about the assault.
