Newman Elementary Students Pledge to Remain Drug-Free!

Courtesy Alex Meyer, (Laredo, Tx)-In recognition of Red Ribbon Week, Newman Elementary students renewed their vows to stay away from drugs by reciting a pledge before visiting judge Oscar R. Liendo. The pledge ceremony was followed by a parade around the perimeter of the campus, during which the students displayed their “say no to drugs”

“National School Bus Safety Week”

Courtesy Carmen Rendon,  (Laredo, Tx)-The United Independent School District Transportation Department observed “National School Bus Safety Week” with LISD by participating in a bus parade that started at United ISD’s Student Activity Complex (SAC)and concluded at the LISD Civic Center. Each District transported students from their respective Districts to attend proclamation honors in the auditorium.
