Laredo, TX (Webb County) – A thorough inspection of an incoming inmate at the Webb County Jail led to the interception of several baggies of narcotics.
The suspect, Griselda Hernandez, 31, was originally arrested for 11 counts of Forgery Financial Instrument, Tuesday morning. Upon intake procedures at the Webb County Jail, the Correctional Officer found a medical container with three plastic baggies. The drugs found include black tar heroin, 16 pills of Acetaminophen, 19 doses of Clozapine, one Xanax, Lyrica, and 11 pills of Tramadol.
Hernandez now faces additional charges for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility, Felony 3. She remains at the Webb County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
“This shows the excellent work done by our jail personnel,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar. “We were able to prevent the suspect from not only bringing the drugs into our jail, but ensuring this individual does not overdose on these narcotics.”
