(Laredo, Texas)-Recently, Juarez Lincoln at D.D. Hachar Elementary School celebrated 30 years of educational excellence. Juarez Lincoln principal, Mr. Roberto Ortiz, along with students and staff, enjoyed a morning of reunions and merriment. The revelry began with an official ceremony in the school cafetorium and continued with a reception in the campus library.
Mr. Ortiz initiated the program by welcoming attendees and thanking current and former students and staff. Entertainment was provided by the United South High School Mariachi Imperial del Sur. As part of the celebration, Mr. Ortiz and two students from each grade level presented items to be placed in a time capsule to be opened at the 50th-anniversary celebration.
Time capsule items included a scannable QR code which links to a video made by the students, a campus photo album, compositions written by several students, and many more items that are sure to surprise future anniversary celebration attendees. Mr. Ortiz and Juarez Lincoln Elementary were presented with a commemorative panoramic photo of students and staff to commemorate this special occasion.
