Laredo Fire Department Announces Activation of New Fire Engine 16 and Ambulance

LAREDO, TX — The Laredo Fire Department is proud to announce the official activation of Fire Engine 16 and Ambulance, two new frontline emergency response units that will enhance the department’s ability to protect and serve the residents of Laredo.
The addition of these vehicles represents the City of Laredo’s continued investment in public safety, emergency preparedness, and faster response times across the community.
Fire Engine 16 is equipped with the latest firefighting technology, including advanced pumping systems, modern safety equipment, and improved operational capabilities that allow firefighters to respond more effectively to structure fires, vehicle accidents, and other emergencies. Its design supports faster deployment and improved efficiency during critical incidents.
The new ambulance expands the department’s emergency medical services capacity and is outfitted with state-of-the-art life-saving medical equipment. This unit will help ensure quicker access to advanced pre-hospital care for residents experiencing medical emergencies, from cardiac events to traumatic injuries.
Together, these new units will:
· Improve emergency response times in growing areas of the city
