LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo announces the closure of all City of Laredo administrative offices in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, on Monday, January 19, 2026. However, essential services will remain operational as follows:
Solid Waste Services
Regular garbage collection will proceed as scheduled.
No lawn-clipping or branch collection.
The City landfill will be open during regular hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
Administration offices will be closed.
El Metro Transit Services
Fixed Route Bus Service: Operating on a Regular Schedule.
El Lift (Paratransit): Operating on a Regular Schedule.
Administrative Offices: CLOSED.
Customer Service Center: CLOSED.
3-1-1 Call Center
Open regular hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., to assist with non-emergency inquiries.
