El Metro Transit Announces Service Schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

LAREDO, TX — In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19, 2026, El Metro Transit has announced its modified operating schedule. While administrative functions will be paused to honor the holiday, transit services will remain fully operational to ensure the community has reliable access to transportation.
To accommodate passengers who rely on public transit for work and personal travel, the following schedule will be in effect:
Fixed Route Bus Service: Operating on a Regular Schedule.
El Lift (Paratransit): Operating on a Regular Schedule.
Administrative Offices: CLOSED.
Customer Service Center: CLOSED.
Resumption of Business Hours
All El Metro Administrative Offices and Customer Service operations will resume their regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips in advance using the El Metro app or by visiting our website. El Metro remains committed to providing safe, efficient, and professional transportation services to the citizens of Laredo.
