City of Laredo 2025 Property Tax Payment Deadline Notice

LAREDO, Texas –The City of Laredo Tax Department is reminding all property owners of the upcoming deadline to pay 2025 property taxes in order to avoid penalties and interest.
Monday, February 2, 2026, is the last day to pay 2025 property taxes without incurring penalties and interest.

Monday, February 2, 2026, is also the deadline for the first installment payment for taxpayers who qualify for the installment payment program. This option is available to taxpayers who qualify for Over-65, Disabled Person, or Disabled Veteran exemptions with a Residential Homestead.

Qualified taxpayers may pay their 2025 property taxes in four equal installments without penalties or interest, according to the following schedule:
- 1st Installment: Due by January 31, 2026**
- 2nd Installment: Due by March 31, 2026
- 3rd Installment: Due by May 31, 2026**
- 4th Installment: Due by July 31, 2026
Payment due dates falling on a weekend or holiday are extended to the next regular business day in accordance with Section 1.06 of the Texas Property Tax Code.
Taxes not paid by the applicable due date will be subject to penalties and interest as required by law.

Checks or money orders should be made payable to the City of Laredo Tax Department, and taxpayers are encouraged to include their account number if available.
