LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo Tax Department is pleased to announce a new and convenient method for property owners to access and pay their property taxes through an automated phone system, launching Wednesday, December 10, 2025. This added resource allows customers to obtain account balance information and make payments at any time, day or night, with just a phone call.

By dialing (956) 727-6420, customers can:

Check their property tax account balance
Make secure payments in minutes
Request tax account information

The automated system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering enhanced accessibility and convenience for the community.

To utilize the system, customers should have their “Tax ACCT ID” readily available. This is the City of Laredo’s unique identifier for each property tax account and can be found on the top right-hand corner of the October tax bill, next to the “Date of Notice.” The “Tax ACCT ID” consists of 4 to 6 digits as shown below:

For assistance with identifying the “Tax ACCT ID” number, contact the City of Laredo Tax Department.

Payments may be made using a debit or credit card, and a processing fee equal to 3% of the total amount of taxes, penalties, and interest will apply to each transaction.
